Mall of America Phase II

Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW)

The Mall of America Company proposes to expand onto the old 54-acre "Met Center" site north of the existing Mall of America in lieu of the expansion site previously approved in the 1986 Mall of America/Fantasyworld Environmental Impact Statement, which identified a "Phase II" development on a 32-acre parcel east of the existing Mall. The proposed 5.6 million square foot development may include a retail/entertainment complex, similar to the existing Mall of America, as well as hotel, residential condominiums and office land uses.

The purpose of the Scoping Decision Document below is to establish the scope of investigation for the Mall of America Phase II Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
