Issue #2 - June 17, 2010 |
Welcome back!It was great to see such a good crowd of last weekend! One of the things I love about Minnesota is our four seasons and of course the food that comes with those seasons. My family loves the fresh spring peas and the baby lettuces that are at their best this time of year. Fresh strawberries and kohlrabi are also at the top of our list. All of these items and more will be at the market again this week, enjoy the early crops of the season. Produce available this Saturday includes asparagus, strawberries, rhubarb, sugar snap peas, shallots, cilantro, dill, lettuces, spinach, radishes and green onions. ![]() We had a lot of fun watching Doree Maser transform T-shirts into reusable bags, she will be at the Market again this week and June 26th so be sure to bring your T-shirt. This event is free, so please help us "green" up the market and join us at the City tent from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Looking for a specific vendor? You can check out our vendor list for specific products and the vendor map for locations. Master Gardeners will be available from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., again this week too, so bring more of your yard and garden questions and samples of leaves or things in your yard that are bugging you! They love to problem solve.
