Summer Blockbusters!

A Celtic Solstice 2011

40 Shades of Green. Rince na Chroi. Rince na Chroi.

Thursday, June 16, 2011
7 - 9 p.m.
Normandale Lake Bandshell

Bloomington's starting off the summer blockbuster series celebrating the summer solstice with dynamic music at the Normandale Lake Bandshell. Even though the true summer solstice is five days later, there's no sign of summer like music in the park!

Bring your blanket, camp out on the hill, and enjoy the sunset while 40 Shades of Green. Not only will you hear the Irish styles, but you'll see it too! Accompanying them through multiple tunes will be the dancers from the Rince na Chroi School of Irish Dance and the Brian Buro Irish Pipe Band.

  • 40 Shades of Green is a 4-piece Irish and celtic music ensemble based in St. Paul, MN. With flute, fiddle, and vocals, accompanied by guitar, bodhran, and bass, the group provides a strong set of Irish tunes and songs. With their unique Irish "pub-like" style, you'll feel as if you're all the way in Europe.

No admission will be charged.
