Join our Bloomington Community Gardens
by renting a garden plot!
This year the City of Bloomington is renting 82 garden plots at two community gardens. The season runs from April 21 (weather permitting) through October 21, 2012. The 2012 seasonal rental fee is $35 per plot, with a maximum of three plots per renter. Plots are 10 feet by 15 feet and there are on-site water tanks at both sites for gardeners’ use. NOTE: Hoses are not available and may not be used.
There are 54 plots for rent at the Smith Park Community Garden site which is located on the east side of Park Ave, between 82nd and 83rd Streets.
There are 28 plots for rent at the Harrison Park Community Garden site,
located at 1701 West 100th Street (just south of City Hall).

Applications
Garden plot applications are accepted as soon as the current year’s forms are available and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning March 1, 2012.
- Priority will be given to 2011 renters in good standing and Bloomington residents. The returning renters’ priority registration period closes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2011.
- Friday, March 2, through Tuesday, March 6, applications will be processed from Bloomington residents who did not rent in 2011.
- Beginning Wednesday, March 7, all remaining applications will be processed on a first-come, first served basis.
