Community
- More bike racks have been added throughout the City.
- Preschool and childcare center staffs are receiving training, resources, and support to include healthy foods and physical activity throughout the day.
- Worked with the Edina Parks & Recreation Department to establish the first Farmers Market in Edina! On February 16, 2010, the City of Edina amended City Code to allow a Farmers Market on City property. Link to meeting video.
- More signs will be posted in city parks, communicating Edina’s tobacco free parks policy.

Schools
- Promoting healthier food offerings by providing resources for a vegetable garden and training in healthy eating.
- Worked with school Wellness Councils to identify improvements that would make the school environment more supportive of health. Assisting with an action plan at one school.
- Encouraging students and staff to walk and bike to school.
- Supporting increased physical activity in schools by providing training, promoting increased use of gymnasiums during and after school, and purchasing stools for a first grade class. The stools allow students more movement and result in an ability to focus attention for longer periods.

- Working with healthcare clinics and providers to regularly assist their patients with healthy eating habits, increasing physical activity, and decreasing alcohol and tobacco use.
- Assisting clinics to connect their patients with community resources that help them adopt healthy lifestyles.
