Local sales tax

The Accounting Division collects local taxes on liquor, lodging, and admission sales from Bloomington establishments. A portion of the proceeds are given to the Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Bloomington Port Authority to fund marketing and development efforts for the Bloomington hospitality industry.

Sales and tax totals should be reported on the Local Sales Tax Return form and submitted to the Accounting Division each month.
