Bloomington celebrates 150 yearsCommemorating our Sesquicentennial in 2008On May 11, 1858, the State of Minnesota and the Town of Bloomington were established, making 2008 the Sesquicentennial year for both. Throughout the year, special events and activities have been scheduled to commemorate Bloomington's 150th anniversary.

About the celebratory logoThe sesquicentennial logo combines the OLD (an illustration of Bloomington's renovated Old Town Hall) with the NEW (the land, river and colors of the City of Bloomington logo).
