Hyland Greens driving range proposal

Planning underway to relocate the driving range

At the July 11 City Council meeting, City staff will present a proposal to move Hyland Greens Golf Course's driving range, with the goal of offering a safer and more enjoyable experience for Bloomington's golf enthusiasts.

Under the proposed plan, the practice range would be moved from its current location along Normandale Boulevard to the interior of the golf course property. This move would allow the range to be expanded from 16 to 36 hitting stations. The new practice area would be all grass, with no nets or fencing. It will not be lighted.

If approved by the City Council, the project is expected to commence in August 2011, with the new practice area opening in the spring of 2012.
