We are very pleased to announce that the City of Bloomington will be hosting the 2nd annual Dakota Language Camp at Pond Dakota Mission Park this summer, Tuesday - Thursday, June 15 - 17, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This camp focuses on learning the language orally though hands-on experiences including games, crafts, nature walks and demonstrations. Presentations are also made to explain Dakota values, culture and history. Most of the teachers and presenters are of Dakota heritage, though the camp is open to both Dakota and non-Dakota students.

Activities are geared toward children in grades K - 6, but students of all ages are welcome, and parents are especially encouraged to attend with their children.

We are able to offer the camp at a very low price again this year: $20 per student, which includes lunch. Please see the following flyer for all the details.

Also below is a link to this year's registration form, which should be filled out and mailed in to the Bloomington Parks and Recreation office as soon as possible.
